Role Overview
Exatect is looking for a motivated and curious Software Engineer Intern to join our engineering team. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to design, build, and improve systems that power our data security platform. This is an opportunity to gain practical experience, contribute to meaningful projects, and learn best practices in secure software development.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate with engineers to design and implement features for Exatect’s data security products
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code under guidance from senior team members
Assist in debugging, testing, and optimizing application performance
Participate in code reviews and team stand-ups
Contribute to internal tools, automation, or infrastructure improvements
Learn and apply best practices in secure software development and data protection
Document technical work and share learnings with the team
What We’re Looking For
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related field
Basic knowledge of one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Go)
Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software development fundamentals
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred
Familiarity with version control systems like Git
Interest in cybersecurity, encryption, or data privacy
Experience with web development, APIs, or backend systems (through coursework or projects)
Participation in hackathons, coding competitions, or personal projects
